Dear friendly listener,

This is a collection of feel-good instrumental music I have been playing, writing, learning, & collecting over the last year or so. I've been dreaming of sharing these songs and have been lucky to have some time over the last few quarantined weeks to make these recordings. My wife Jessica and I are expecting our first baby any day now (due date was yesterday) and I couldn't be more thrilled to share this music with you under these extremely wild circumstances.

I'm so excited for these songs to hit your ears! I hope you find joy & beauty in these melodies, enjoy the instruments featured, and feel great while listening.

Wishing you peace & good days. Thanks for listening!!

released April 11, 2020

Heard on these songs:

Luke Williams: sparkly synths & midi bass
Elizabeth Baba: vibrant viola
Cody Putman: meadowy bassoon
Greg Uhlmann: warbly & prickly guitar
Aaron Otheim: sweeping synths
Karl McComas-Reichl: groovy upright bass & cello
Adam Starkopf: rainy drums on "Umbrella Waltz"
Logan Hone: joyful alto sax, velvety flute, silver soprano sax, retro Casiotone 301 "piano sound" & rhythm machine, Civil War-era fretless minstrel banjo, old drums, soulful mini Hammond organ (Yamaha reface YC), clanky portable pump organ, a Polish bass guitar, & a light brown spinet piano

also Jesse Q-T & Jay Rudolph are playing drums & congas on the bonus track live recording from Battery Books.

I wrote all of the songs except:
These Foolish Things: a jazz standard by Jack Strachey
Come Sunday: a classic Duke Ellington piece
Reverie: a piano piece by Claude Debussy
Mandeville: a wonderful tune by Paul Motian

Recorded during Covid quarantine March 22 - April 11 2020

Mixed by me with a final sonic glazing by Luke

Millions of thanks and hi fives to these friends for joining me remotely on these recordings!! Your sounds fill my soul with joy! Thank you for playing this music! 🌷
